Yves Pires is a French artist born in Choisy le Roi, France where one of his sculptures, “Elodie”, can now be seen in the neighborhood of Seine et Parc. He dedicates himself exclusively to his greatest passion which is sculpture, mainly working with bronze. He was born in 1958. the influence of the fantastic cinema and I discovered the techniques of molding, latex foam and airbrush thanks to which he then realized sculptures of illustrations and paintings of fantastic style. On the occasion of the exhibition of some of his works at the fantastic film festival of Auxerre, he met Luc Besson came to present his first film “The last fight”. he decided to organize my return to Paris to work in the audiovisual sector. he got in touch with the decorator of the show Collaricocoshow, who hired him as a props sculptor and worked with Alain Duverne on the sculpture of a puppet and a set for an ad. Then he met the decorator Serge Sommier who, in search of a versatile artist, invited him to work with AB production. Two years later he directed the decoration department and for 10 years he created the sets of all the emissions of the group while working to mature his style in sculpture. Now, he spends his time creating bodies, looking for that little touch that, under his fingers, makes the earth live.
