Charles Favard is a sculptor who mastered this rare technique of direct cutting: stone, marble, wood … materials that he uses with particular ease. His innate sense of volume allows him to vary his subjects according to his imagination. Charles worked with David Mesly, from whom he drew the inspiration necessary to approach the artistic anatomy and that of the animal world. He was his pupil and companion for many years. He was enlarger and molder of J.Laniau. Of classical formation, he obtained the status of sculptor practitioner.
