Category:
Lost wax bronze 3/8. founder chapon. French artist, born in 1954 in Versailles. Lives and works in Paris but also in Lozère (in the south of France) where, as soon as she can, she likes to isolate herself. After graduate studies, she pursues several different jobs, from teaching to astrology, and in the medical community, at the time she raised her her children. All this while continuing parallel painting studies (workshops Carrousel du Louvre) then sculpture at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris and in the workshop of Viviane Amber. This last meeting is decisive for her. In 1995, she decided to devote herself exclusively to sculpture. Since then she exhibits regularly in the major Parisian salons (Art in Capital at the Grand Palais, Salon d’Automne, International Biennales of sculpture …) and in galleries. Her work is rewarded in 2004 by the Bréauté Prize and the National Society of Fine Arts and the Institut de France. Her works thus enter into numerous public and private collections. Known and appreciated for the grace of her body but also for the finesse of her faces, she herself says that her work is based on emotion and poetry, including her own, indissociable preamble to her work.
